MISSIONS

WSFirst Missions

Wherever we live and work, we seek to remain attentive to opportunities to serve those around us. WS First partners with several local organizations in the areas listed below, working together to strengthen and bless our community. We encourage everyone to join these efforts or to find meaningful ways to serve within their own neighborhoods. Through the passions and gifts God has given you, you can make a lasting impact in your city. Jesus commands His followers to “go and make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 28:19–20) We believe the words of Jesus were not a suggestion — they were a commission. This Great Commission is the calling of every follower of Jesus Christ.

Local Missions

Mission begins where we live. Our neighborhoods are our first mission fields. Every front porch, coffee shop conversation, school event, and act of kindness is an opportunity to reflect Christ. We believe: every neighbor matters to God, every home can be a place of ministry. every believer can represent Jesus right where they are. We support folks in our city every month in different ways to take care of others.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery ministry that helps people find freedom from hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Founded at Saddleback Church, it blends biblical teaching with principles similar to the 12 steps. It addresses struggles such as addiction, anxiety, anger, codependency, and past trauma. Meetings typically include worship, teaching or testimonies, and gender-specific small groups. The focus is on lasting spiritual transformation through Jesus Christ and supportive community.

Where: Grand Concourse.
When: Monday evenings at 6:30 pm

   SERVE GLOBALLY

World Missions

The heartbeat of the Great Commission extends far beyond our zip code, so from our state to our nation and across the globe, we are called to participate in God’s redemptive work. Some are called to go physically, and WS First extends monthly support to active missionary teams. We continuously pray for these families as they bring God's love to diverse nations and cultures.
