Men's Spiritual Leadership Training
Pastor Mike Rakes led the men in three weeks of spiritual leadership training. These three sessions were filled with insight to help men live lives of spiritual influence in their homes, workplace, and their community of faith. Additionally, these sessions are required for those who desire to be a part of the men's leadership team, or to be considered to be a deacon for the upcoming ministry season. You will find the audio files for these sessions below, along with the PDF notes that correspond to each session. Session three only has an audio file. If you missed one or more of these three sessions, and desire to be a part of the men's leadership team or to be eligible to be a deacon, it is important that you let us know that you have completed this session by listening to it on your own. E-mail us by clicking HERE to let us know which session(s) you completed by listening.

Here are a couple of moments from the first Men of Iron gathering on March 5, 2010...

Pastor Rakes challenged the guys live out the plans that God has for their lives, and gave five ways to put this in to practice:

THE MEN OF IRON CHALLENGE
1. Read the Bible
2. Pray daily
3. Give up one thing each month
4. Talk with another man
5. Carry the cross

These are more than rote mechanical things that he challenged us to do. The ultimate point is to live in to the destiny God has for us, but these five challenges help develop the spiritual muscle to bring all of it about. We can do this together as Men of Iron.
